Can’t Be GREAT if Don’t Even START

Jakarta, Indonesia

“Oh! What will happen to the world if we just sit idly by”

“I don’t know about you, but I know that I can’t be GREAT if I don’t even START”

These two sentiments pretty much sum up how I generally feel.

So glad got the opportunity to inspire and motivate hundreds of primary students a few days ago at Binus International Serpong.  This was a special occasion as it’s my second year doing so.  Mr. Rico of Binus shared how inspired the students were by last year’s talk that they decided to invite me again.  Truly a great honour! Tq Ms. Elsie and Mr. Rico.

During the workshop, shared my understanding about what being an author was about, how to do idea generations and what being a Bubblie (citizen of Bubbliapolis, city of our imagination) entails (hints: know to want and how to find #uniquegreatness and #creativityexplosions ;)).

Students and teachers alike all participated excitedly and intelligently during the active workshop.  We sang, danced, bantered and bonded during the 60 minutes that just fleww, due to us having had so much fun.

So happy kids’ bright eyes grow even brighter because of Bubbles of Love.  Hope we get many more opportunities to make more positive impacts as we grow!  Hope to see you again soon Binusians! (LD)

KeyBubblie & AriaBubblie Take Milan, Florence and Paris!

Who likes traveling, fine dining (michelin starred!) and architectural wonders? We do!

3Dprinted versions of the BubblieKids (NasyaBubblie, AriaBubblie and KeyBubblie) have been going on amazing trips and posing for social media since last year (2014). This summer, latest versions of KeyBubblie and AriaBubblie got chance to explore the finest things in Milan, Florence and Paris. This is the first account of their amazing journey. Don’t forget to subscribe to follow their adventures😉

We never took Emirates Business Class for Jakarta-Dubai-Milan before this, so we were quite taken with the constellation inspired night scene’s ceiling treatment.

It made us happy and appropriately sleepy. Ordered “nasi goreng” for the after midnight flight’s snack. Small portion, quite authentically Indonesian and nicely presented.

We were impressed by the humongous business class lounge in Dubai and was glad and thankful we got chance to rest there as our Dubai-Milan flight was delayed for many hours.

After many hours, we arrived in Milan and transported by Emirates’ complimentary chauffeur driven limos to our hotel.  Refreshed, the next day we explored the areas near our hotel by the famous cathedral (Duomo).

We admire architectural splendours everywhere we go as they are true products and testaments to art, history, creativity and imagination. AriaBubblie and KeyBubblie loveee the skylight dome at the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele so much. Very happy we got this shot:)

PapaBubblie & MamaBubblie #BubblesOfLoveCookieCutters

“A family needs leaders whom the kids shall love and respect wholeheartedly. Learning shall then occur…naturally.. ”

We love summers coz that means more time with the kiddos.

Among our most favorite things to bond with the kids is quality kitchen time.  We made some BubblieFamily’s cookiecutters with the MakerBot Replicator2 so you shall have even more fun time making cookies and such:) Please let us know if you got time to experiment with any and share with us your pics..

Key Bubblie’s Tokyo Explorations : Tokyo Dome

Jakarta, Indonesia

My family went to Tokyo last December.

We took Key Bubblie (3Dprinted version 2.0), one of the main characters in Bubbles of Love, along with us. With this post and a few others, Key Bubblie will highlight his most memorable moments, hope you like them..😉

On one of the days, we went off to Tokyo Dome in search of some amusement for the kids as it came rather highly recommended by our friends who are Tokyo residents.

Tokyo Dome itself is a huge stadium which sits in Tokyo Dome City which also housed an amusement park. The area is spacious and well laid out so kids do not have to go elbow to elbow with stadium goers.  It also has a variety of family friendly restaurants, supermarkets and shopping venues.

We like the place, very family friendly, the amusement park has no cover charge and allows for per ride ticket thus very flexible for families who have a few kids with different preferences (like ours!).

It is especially good for families with kids above 6 years old as lots of rides are quite adventurous and unique.  Some are semi manual rides which could be great for extra workouts and family bonding!

Fun one, got to pull a string to bring yourselves up the pillar and then released it slowly to come down again

The amusement park also has an animals touching zoo.  Popular and good for families with younger kids (note: open ~10-17 only).  Spotted some dogs, goats, different kinds of rabbits among others.  No pictures because when we found it, they were tidying up to close for the day :p

To cap off the evening, we decided to have dinner at Moomin Cafe.

Enjoying a family meal with Moomin sitting at our table accompanying us was a heartwarming experience. The kids’ meals: uber cute!

On hindsight, should have dined during off hours coz dinner hours = 45-60 mins wait. Dining time’s also limited to 90 mins, so families with fussy eaters should be wary 😅.

Though we had ours at the Tokyo Dome we saw another Moomin Cafe at Tokyo Skytree a few days prior also sporting similarly long lines.

Till next time Bubblies!!

Meanwhile, Happy Bonding!:)
